peace and quiet and advil cold & sinus medicine.

Simon & Garfunkle had it right: there is nothing like the Sound of Silence.

the Cat is happy - he has the recliner all to himself.
i am happy - i have the couch all to myself (but i'd rather have the recliner).
the Husband is happy for he is off to a SuperBowl (wait. can i say "Super-Bowl?" or will the NFL commissioner come after me? never mind then. Super Sunday)party at his former manager's home.

i decided to stay home and prepare for work tomorrow.

somewhere along the way, i changed. dramatically. you see, up until a few years ago, i hated being alone. could.not.stand.it.

now, i'm eating it up. loving it.

so, it's just me, the cat and some decongestant.

oh, and "Monk" on TV.

now if the drugs could just kick in, i could breathe again.

and enjoy my solitude.

Solitude can be a wonderful thing.

We, too, are in the throes of sickness - Jason hasn't slept a full night in about a week. The Wee One went to my mom's house today, and he tried to get a nap, but I don't think he was successful.

Maybe he should try the Advil Cold and Sinus - he hasn't found anything that's touching his symptoms.

Oh, and I shall be emailing the NFL commissioner post haste to tell on you for using the "SB" words!

Ack...don't rile the football commish! He is devious!

I love solitude AND Monk! The stuffed nose? Not so much...it is crappy to have that and a bad cough. Yuck. I hope you are feeling much better for the new week...wish there was something I could do.

Hey...could you send me your home address to: combs_sue@yahoo.com

Feel better darn it. 'Kay?

Love,
Sue

I like being alone. Love it when the roommates gone. Although I love hanging out with my friends... sometimes I just wanna hide in my room.

I am sorry you are not feeling good. That sucks. I don't really know if or when I will get to that point of loving quiet, empty houses(accept when I am tired). I still love to have people over, on the phone or being out with people. Hope you feel better soon.

I could use some alone time. Not that being surrounded is bad, but quietness is wonderful.

I truly love being alone. I didn't in my early years, but now I NEED it. I'm glad you and the cat had some time to yourselves. I hope you're feeling better.
